TROUBLE AT AMRITSAR.

DEADLOCK DEVELOPED. A. and N.Z. DELHI, Sept. 14. The Amritsar position has reached a deadlock, but bands of Akhali Sikhs continue to arrive. The Governor of the Punjab is hastening to Amritsar to see the situation and confer with, leading Sikhs.

The disputed land is encircled with barbed wire. It is stated that 500 police are concentrated within this. Akhalis attempting to penetrate the barricade were forcibly repulsed. The police seized two lorry loads of provisions proceeding to Gurukbagh.
