SENIOR CADETS' SPORTS.
DECISIONS OF ASSOCIATIONS.
The Senior Cadets' Sports Association at its last meetins received with regret th* resignation of Captain L. W. Metcalfe, on account of Ul-heAlth. Meeere. J. Caxlaw, EL Frost. Ansell, and J. P, Kalaugher were appointed to make representations to the Government to allow special concessions to Senior Cadet parties travelling by rail. It wse reported _ that a -meeting of delegates from the various companies would be held on Monday to make arrangements for the coming cricket season. It stated that subject to permission being secured, the road rce would be held on November 11 over a 81-mile course, beginning and ending at the Town Hall. The general athletic sports meeting will be held in the Domain on November 18. There will be intercompany competitions for a challenge shield for two classes, (a) under 16 years, and (b) between 16 and 18 years. The chief events will be 100 yds, 220 yds, 440 yds. 880 yds, one mile, one mile walk, high jump, hop, 6tep and jump, and 120 yds hurdles, tug-o-wt.r, and novelty events. Arrangements are well in hand for the boxing competitions. The initial competitions wi]l be held by each company, then the selected cadets from the various companies will oorrvnete in the trials in the drill shed. The finals will be held in the Town Hall on November 8.
