CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE.

The Auckland Women's Christian Temperance Union met on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Xeal /presided. Mrs. J. Cook, the delegate to the conference of the National Council of Women recently held in Christchurch, gave an interesting account of the proceedings and the various resolutions passed, a pronouncement in favour of prohibition having been enthusiastically carried by the conference.
