MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
The Manurewa Town Board met on Tuesday svenina. There were present Messrs. ' Corin (chairman), Gallaher, Cot, King. Pesler, Smith, and Lupton. It was reported that a loan of £2000 had been arranged with a bank for adjusting the purchases of Jelncoe Park and tiie native bush reserve, the interest to be 6 per cent., X per cent. sinking, fund, the bank to receive i per cent, commission. The Publ q Trustee was appointed sinking fund commissioner- , , . The dedication of a new road from the proposed Homai flag station to the boundary of the town area was approved by the board. At the previous meeting a request was made frr * lease of » portion of the Manurewa railway reserve, now lying waste, with the object of beautifying tae grounds. The department offered a tenure terminable at three 'vonths' notice. It was resolved to ask Mr. Massey if more reasonable terms could not b« obtained.
