COST TO TRADES UNIONS. £8,000,000, LAST YEAR. A. ana N.Z. i LONDON. Aug. 25. Unemployment pay cost British trades unions more than £8,000,000 in 1921, compared with £817,000 in 1920. Dispute benefits absorbed £2.229,000, compared with £1,875,000, political objects £87,783 compared with £108,000, working expenses £2,540,000 compared with £2,218,000.
