STOCK FOR WESTFIELD.
TRAIN FROM HUARAU URGED. An application by the Northern Wairoa sub-provincial district of the Farmers' Union for a stock train every Tuesday from Huaraa to Westfield direct has been met by the.district traffic manager by. a requirement that the executrvs shouldguarantee 20 waggons of st«k from stations north of Helensville, or make _up the revenue earned by such a train, if it were short of 20 trucks. The executive decided to reply that it was not empowered to give such a guarantee, and asking that the service be given three months" trial. The opinion was expressed that the number of stock already carried should be a sufficient warranty for the service. *.•; '
