MARRIED TO A SINGER.

VANCOUVER. Aug. 11

Harold F. McCormick, formerly president of the International Harvester Company, who married Edith, tho daughter of John D. R/xikcfeller, in 1895, has married Madame Ganna Walska, in Paris.

Madame W;ilska created a furore in Chicago two years ago, as one of the stars of the Chicago Grand Opera Company, of which MoConnick and his former wife Avcre the principal guarantors.

The company employed her while visiting Paris, but on the day of her announced debut, she packed her bags and left for New York. It was reported that tho conductor, Signor Marinuzzo, at tho drc&s rehearsal, criticised her abjlity as a singer.
