THE SYDNEY TEAM'S TOUR.

ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND.

FIRST MATCH TO-MORROW.

| The Sydney University Rugby Union ! team which is to play a series of matches against the University Colleges of Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago, in addition to three testi matches again** a combined New Zealand University team, arrived at Auckland yesterday by the Mooraki from Sydney. The members of the team, 23 in all, were met and welcomed by officials of the Auckland University Club and friends, with whom they will be the guests during their stay in Auckland.

Mr. G. B. Kail is manager, and Mr. J. Morgan captain of the team.

A civic reception is to be accorded the team at 10 a*m. to-day in the Town Hall council chamber.

Tho visiting footballers had a good practice at Victoria Park yesterday aiternoon, and this morning, after the civic reception, will practice on the Domain.

The first match of the tour will be played against the Auckland University team at the Domain to-morrow, play commencing at 3 p.m. The first 'jest' match will be. played on Saturday at Eden Park. The Southern members of the New Zealand University team will assemble at Auckland on Iriday. The following are the teams for tomorrow's match :—

Sydney.—Fullback, C. S. Crackenthorpe; thitsequarters, N. R. Woodhead. R. J. Black, A. J. Foote. R. L. Raymond; five-eighths, M. B. Hesslein; halfback, J. Morgan (captain); forwards, A. B. Erby, F.
