NORTHCOTE RATING.
UNIMPROVED VALUES POLL. A poll will bo held on Tuesday to decide if the system of rating on the unimproved value is to bo applied to thjp Nbrtbcote Borough. Ratepayers were addressed in favour of this system last evening by Messrs. G. Stevenson and R. Taylor, when there -was a good attendance. Mr. C. G. Hodgson presided. The disadvantages of unimproved value rating are to be pointed out by speakers at a public meeting to be held this evening in the Northcote Masonic Hall. The Mayor, Mr. W. E. Richardson, will preside.
