THE 'ASSOCIATION GAME,

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

The Management Committee of the Auckland Football Association met last evening, Mr. D. A. Williams presiding. A communication was received from the Wauganui Association, offering a guarantee of £50 for a match for the Brown Shield with Auckland at Wanganui. After a-lons discussion it was decided that the offer could not be entertained this season. The newly-formed North Auckland Association, replying to a suggestion regarding the boundary between the two centres, suggested that its jurisdiction extend over all that portion of the district north of, and including, a line drawn between Mangawai on the north and Ruawai on the west. The suggestion was adopted. It was decided to send a junior representative team to play at Whaugarei at an early date, the arrangements being loft in the hands of the Selection Committee, Messrs. McDonald, Reason and Morgan. The New Zealand Rugby Union hea .decided, as a result of general protests against the New Zealand v. Maoris' match being put on as a *' curtain-raiser " to the Taranaki v. Wellington match next Saturday, that the New Zealand-Maoris' game be commenced at 3.15 p.m., and that the Taranaki- Wellington match commence at 1.45 p.m. The Wanganui Rugby Union wrote stating that it had received a letter from the secretary to the Wairoa. sub-union stating: "I wish to draw your attention to the fact that the Patea, Club played an Opuku player named Tangipo in a football match. Pate* v. Tufcapa, at Patea, on July 22. Tangiix* js a member of the Opuku Football Club, affiliated to our union." The union added that it was also reported that last Saturday four members of the Patea Club forcibly put Tangipo in a car and took him to Hawera to play for them. The communication was referred to the Taranaki Union to deal with. The Canterbury Rugby Union wrote asking if their match versus Biawke's Bay would be a R-anfurly Shield m>toh. It was decided to reply that no union possessing the shield need accept a. challenge unless 14 days' notice had been given after such union had become possessed of the shield. In reply to a telegram from the Canterbury Union, it was decided that the final of the Moascar Cup be played at Chnstckurcn on September 6. The Manawatu Union wrote accepting the North Island semi-final and final in the Moascar Cup for Palmcrston North on Wednesday and Saturday,
