AUTOMATIC TELEPHONES.
WELLINGTON AND DUNEDIN. [BT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Tuesday. The Public Works Board has accepted the tender of the Fletcher Construction Company of £11,942 for the erection, at Dunedin, of the automatic telephone exchange. Tenders will also be invited for the erectiqn of a new main exchange for Wellington, which will cost in the vicinity of £50,000. When these buildings axe 'complete, both the Wellington and Dunedin telephone systems will be entirely automatic.
