She is due back at Auckland on Sunday jifternoon. V The Southern steamiir Opihi arrived yesterday morning from Lyttelton and Nydia Bay and berthed at the Central Wharf. She brought 300 tons of general cargo from Lyttelton and about 150,(O0ft. of timber .from Kydia Bay. From Auckland the Opihi will . go to Wbangarei to load cement.for Lyttelton. She is expected to sail to-night. The Westport Coal Co.'s steamer Canopus left- Westport at 2 p.m. yesterday with a cargo of coal for Auckland. Bhe is due here on Friday evening.

The American steamer Eastern Sea sailed yesterday morning for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Australia to discharge the remainder of her cargo from New York.

THE MANUKA. The Manuka is timed to sail at 11 a.m. to-morrow with passengers, mails, and cargo for Sydney, where she is due on Monday.

H.M.S. CHATHAM SAILED. H.M.S. Chatham sailed yesterday morning for the Bay of Islands and. Northern ports. Sho will afterwards cruise m the ' Pacific and then go to Australia. THE ULIMAROA. Too Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa is due at Wellington this mornim? from Sydney. Besides mails she has 151 passengers and 800 tons of cargo for r«e.w Zealand. She is timed to leave Wellington on Friday for Sydney.

INGA FOR GISBORNE. The Lamb steamer Tnga was expected to <* leave Newcastle yesterday with a cargo of coal for Gisborne. She will call at Auckland en route to replenish hes fresh water tanks, end will then go on to Gisborne.

NORTHERN COMPANY'S STEAMERB. The Northern Company advises that the auxiliary scow Tuhoe is to eail for Mangapai and way ports at 2 p.m. to-day. ■The Daphne has been delayed in theNorth, and is not due back at Auckland from Aw&nui until 3 p.m. to-morrow. Owing to the delay to tlw Daphne the Waiotahi will take the former's trip to the Great Barrier, sailing at midnight to-night.

ATHENIC CLEARED WELLINGTON. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Athenic, en route from England, left Wellington'at mid-dsy yesterday for Auckland. She is due here to-morrow morning and will berth at the Queen's Wharf to discharge a quantity of gene.va'i merchandise and load New Zealand produce for England.

RIMUTAKA CLEARED PANAMA. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the liner Riinutaka. en route from Wellington, arrived at Panama on August a and cleared Colon the following day for Southampton direct.
