DEFENCELESS PORTS.
NO AIRCRAFT READY. BRITISH STATIONS IN EAST. LONDON. Aug. 2. Asked whether there were aircraft defences for British dockyards, fueling stations, and naval establishments abroad, other than Malta, Mr. L. C. M. S. Amery, ou behalf of the Government, said that he understood that aircraft were available if required for the defence of Port Said, Suez, and Aden. Asked whether that meant that there were no aircraft defences for Singapore and Hongkong, Mr. Amery replied in the affirmative. Lieut.-Commander Kenworthy remarked: "Disgraceful."
