STRUCK BY MAILBAG. [BY .TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA. Monday. A singular accident befel Mr. L. Hume, a well-known motorist, on Saturday. He was engaged at the back of the post office in loading mails on to a car. MrStott, postal officer, was coming down the steps with a heavy mailbfig on his shoulder and. slipped. He called out *° Mr. Hume, but it was too late, and thß latter received the full force of the heavy bag on the back of his head, which was knocked against the car. Mr. Hume had three teeth knocked out and sustained a painful wound on the lower lip, necessitating surgical treatment.
