The New Zealand Emigration Department anticipates that emigrants this year will closelv approximate to last year's numbers, which totalled 10.000. The total at the end of June was 4820. and bookings for July and August aggregate 1250, including 120 domestics. The majority of the others are ex-service men. All have been nominated in New Zealand, and are guaranteed employment and housing.

In the. House of Commons on June 29 Mr. Stanlev Baldwin, president of tho Board of Trade, said that British emigrants to Australia in 1921, numbered 27.751, and to New Zealand, 11,513. British immigrants from Australia were 8860 in number, and from New Zealand 1568.
