[BE 3ELEGBAPH. —OWN COBBESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Wednesday. The Whangarei Library Committee unanimously resolved on Monday evening ; to recommend the Borough Council to con- j sider the question of providing a new library and museum accommodation. .The proposal was made on the grounds that the increasing busbess of the borough pointed to the imperative need that larger municipal offices and the growing use of the library rendered the present rooms too small. An organised canvass was made in Whangarei yesterday in- aid of the Pearson Memorial Blind Fund. The total amount collected was announced this* evening to be £356.
