COMMUNITY SONG BOOK.

Sir,—We have heard that there is to be a book published containing the words of weil-fcriown songs to bo used at tho community singing, instead of the leaflets now distributed. If this is correct, how much nicer it would be if the music Of the four parts could be printed in the same book. There are very few houses in Auckland without a musical instrument of some kind. Therefore each one who was not good at .sight-reading could try error the parts they select. The musio then would be ideal, as nothing comes up to part singing. I feel the books would sell well, and anyone who did not wish l to buy one could have one at the door on entering the Town Hall, and leave it on the seat, as they do hymn books in churches, Lovee or Music.
