TO-DAY'S FORECAST.
GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last night as follows:—Present indications are for increasing north-west to southwest winds and cloudy and unsettled weather. Rain probable generally, rivers rising on the West Coast and in the Southern districts and snow on the higher levels in the South Island. The barometer has a falling tendency.

A small high-pres-sure system appears to be north-west of Hokianga, and should cause intervals of clearing sky over the , North Auckland peninsula. Winds between north, northwest, and west. Sea inclined to rise on west coast.,
