AUCKLAND INSTITUTE.
A meeting of the Auckland Institute will be held in St. Andrew's Hall an Monday eveningi when Mr. W. F. Short will rive a lecture, " Dyeing, Ancient and Modern." The lecturer will give an account of the history and development of the art of dyeiDg, and the general principles involved in the application of dyes to textile materials. The lecture will be illustrated by lantern slides and brief experiments.
