PLOTS IN GERMANY.

MONARCHIST ACTIVITY.

MOURNING FOR SILESIA.

PRESS TALKS OF REVENGE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright A. and N.Z. LONDON. June 1& The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Mail confirms the reports that German monarchists are brewing fresh plots. They are circulating a proclamation by Ludendorff to the powerful Union of National ist Soldiers, which has proclaimed that its first aim is the re-erection of a monarchy standing above political parties. Correspondents agree that there is likelihood of Ludendorff and his friends a£ tempting a coup d'etat. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chrouicle says that flags were flown at half-mast over the- whole countryside as a sign of mourning for the handing over to the Poles of part of Upper Silesia in accordance with the German-Polish Convention, embodying the League of Nations decision. Instead of lessons in the schools the children were instructed regarding the loss of part of the Fatherland. Bells tolled for half-an-hour everywhere, and on Sunday services of mourning were held in the Prussian churches. The newspapers are talking of revenge. The Deutsche Zeitung says: "We will not fly the flag at half-mast, but will keep our old black, white and red ready for a day when, by our own might, the whole of Upper Silesia will again become part of Prussia. We believe firmly that a day of reckoning is coming for Uppesr Silesia."
