In the semi-final of the ladies' singles a* the Kent lawn tennis championships, Mrs. Bjurstedt Mallory (United States) was beaten by Miss McKane, England's strongest hope against Mdlle. Lenglen at Wimbledon, 6—l, 2—6, 6—3. In the final, Miss McKane beat Miss Ryan, 6—3, 6—3. In the semi-final of the men's singles, R. W. Lycett (Australia) beat Fyzeo (India), 6—o, 6—4. Lieut-Colonel Kingscote (England) beat Morpnrgo (Greece), 7—5, 4-6, 6—4. In the final Kingscote beat Lycett, 6—3, 3—l, retired.
