EXPERTS FROM GERMANY.
VISIT TO VICTORIA. AFRAID OF HOSTILITY. [ifrom otra own cobbehfonijeht.j SYDNEY, June 7. The proposal of the Victorian Government to import six German engineers to assemble the briquetting plant at the Morweil power schema (the plant, too, was imported from Germany), and te instruct the Victorian engineers and workers how to handle it, has been the cause of considerable trouble, the end of which, however, now appears to be in sight After the opposition of the Prime Minister to their admission to the Commonwealth had been overcome, it was considered that the electricity commissioners would have no further trouble in securing the experts. But apparently the opposition of the Prime Minister is still a formidable thing in parts of Germany; at all events, further delay has occurred in securing the services of the German experts. As a result of cable messages, which have been passing between the electricity commissioners and the experts, however, it is not anticipated that there will be any additional hindrance. It is understood that the German engineers have been assured that they need fear no hostility on their arrival in Victoria. They appear, to have thought that such an assurance was necessary in view of the hostile attitude which was adopted by Mr. Hughes.
