Lawson lived at the Bits in Paris, and it was alleged' that he was connected with three Australians, McNaUy, Dean and Dudley, who have already been sentenced to penal servitude on, the charge of intent to defraud HalL ■ The alleged fraud followed on a card game at Dudley's flat, when it was said, Lawson won £12,000 in 12 minutes.
