It is understood that the ballot taken * by the Amalgamated Engineers' Union c favours acceptance of the employers' £ terms. A majority of at lea&t 20,000 is expected. The figures will be announced < on Tuesday. l The aggregate loss of wages due to the lock-out of engineers is estimated at £9,000,000.
