AUCKLAND WINTER SHOW.
PREPARATIONS FOR OPENING.
The executive committee of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association met yesterday, the president, Mr. E. D. McLennan, occupying the chair. Matters relating to the forthcoming winter show were discussed. It was decided to request tho Governor-General, Lord Jellicoe, to perform the official opening ceremony on July 1, and to invite the Prime Minister and other members of tho Cabinet to attend. The recommendation of the sub-committeo to proceed at once with the roofing in of the space between two of the whan sheda to provide additional accommodation for exhibits was approved. It was reported by Mr. B. H. Andrew that a wireless telephone transmitting station would be installed at tho show, and would be available for use by tho public. A committee, consisting of Messrs. M. G McArthur, H. Grierson, B. H. Andrew and j. P. Kalaugher was appointed 'to report to the executive on tho fnatter of complimentary tickets.
