MISS THORP'S MISSION, * An opportunity of hearing first-hand facts regarding? tho famine conditions in Russia will be afforded the Auckland public to-morrow evening when Mi6s Margaret Thorp, who has been working with the Society of Friends relief organisation in Central Eurone and Russia, will give an illustrated lecture in the Town Hall. The Mayor. Mr. J. H. Gunson, wfij preside. Miss Thorn is described as an excellent lecturer, and an interesting selection of lantern slides will illustrate the simple and convincing story which she will give. A collection in aid of the Russian famine fund will be taken up.
