DAVIS CUP CONTEST.
JAPAN LOSES PLAYER. Australian ar.d N.Z. Cuble Association. (Reed. G. 5 pan.) NE\Y YORK, May 13. The Davis Cup Committee has received cable advice intimating that Kumagae will be unable to play in the series. While Shimidzu and Kashio will make a good pair, it is thought that Japan's chances will bo greatly lessened by the absence of Kumagae.
