The Air Council has written U> O'.ie : promoters of the schemc for utilising the ; British airships for an Imperial service in- 1 , forming them that it considers that the, j scheme constitutes a notable advance on ; previous proposals for utilising tho air- ' ships. The council considers that pro- j 1 \ided six airships are used and an airship base established in India the scheme offers a reasonable prospect, of the successful operation of a service with India, The council does not desire to discuss the financial aepecte. It is noteworthy that,' the letter does not refer to the prospects of extending the service to Australia.
