REBEL RAID IN DONEGAL.
WIRELESS STATION WRECKED.
BELFAST BOMB OUTRAGE. By Telegraph—Previa Association—Ccvpyrj^Jit(Rcceived 6.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z. LONDON, May 13. Irish irregulars after evicting coastguards from the British naval wireless* station at Bunbeg County, Donegal, and auctioning the furniture and fixtures, set fire to the building. The damage is estimated at £20,000. A dastardly Sinn Fein outrage has occurred in Belfast. Mansfield, a train conductor, found an attache case that had been left behind in a tram. While ho was taking the lost property to the office an infernal machine within the case exploded, killing Mansfield and wounding five others. Five armed men 'held up a light engine, and forced the pay clerk to hand over £1000, the wages for the locomotive staff. The armed men escaped.
SECURITY OF PROTESTANTS
MR. COLLINS' PROMISE. A. and N.Z. LONDON. May 12. A deputation from the Protestant Synod of Ireland saw Mr. Michael Collins and asked if the Provisional Government desired to retain Protestants in Southern Ireland, or wanted them to go. Mr. Collins assured them that the Government would protect its citizens and ensure civil and religious liborty. Spoliation and confiscation would not bo tolerated. Owing to attacks made on Masonic halls and Freemasons, the Earl of Donouglimoro has ordered the suspension of all lodge meetings throughout tho Irish Free State.
