AUCKLA N P ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of tho Auckland Basketball Association was held in the Training College. Mr. McClune presided. Tho annual report and balance-snect, showed the association to be in a good financial fifate Tho following officers were ciccted President, Mr. H. F. .McClune; vicepresidents. Mrs. Isomer, Mifls Kennedy, Air. U G. Cousins; honorary secretary. Mi fs D. Youngson; honorary treasurer. Miss E. St'ehr- management committee. Misses Mahoii. Fisher. Knight and Pirihi, and Messrs. Ferguson and Lee, honorary auditor, Mr- A. Murdoch. It was decided to open tho eoB«on on Saturday. June. 10, entries to close on May '23. It was also decided that *fqur gradon be played in the championship, instead t of three, as in the past. In placo of sensor, intermediate and junior, the grades will bp nenior, second grade, third grade and fourth grade. An interesting discussion arose concerning the possibility of the formation of a New Zealand Basketball Association, and it •was decided that steps be taken for its formation. The need for more, commodious and suitable grounds on which to hold matches was also discussed. The committee wae instructed to arrange for a, deputation to wait on the City Council to secure tho helo and interest of that body m making provision for the successful development of this growing national game for girls.
