THE WHEAT MARKET. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. G. 5 p.m.) LONDON, May 13. Wheat cargoes arc firm and sellers are occasionally requiring (id advance. Australian cargoes afloat are quoted at 583 6d and May cargoes at 5Ss 9d. Parcels afloat are quoted at 6Ss.

WRIGHT, STEPHENSON AND CO. The balance-eheet of Wright, Stephenson and Co.. Limited, for the year ended March 31, ehowe a net profit of £25,391, and there wss brought forward from the previous year £25,705, making a total of £51,090. Out of this an interim dividend of 3{ per cent, was paid on October S; and it is now proposed to pay a further dividend of 3) per cent., making 7 per cent, for the year, and after making tho fixed payment on tho preference shares, there remains a balance of £17,293 to be carried forward. MANAWATU STOCK SALES. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., roport.— At our Feilding sale on Friday a fair yarding: of sheep met with a kern demand. Good lambs or wether* were eacerly sought after. Fat sheep came forward in limited numbers and sold freely. *\ large yirding of stock sold well, there being a good demand right through for weaner heifers. Store cattle sold at late rates.
