AUSTRALIAN GRATUITY.
QUESTION IN COMMONS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 10. Lieutenant-Colonel J. Nail, in the Houso of Commons, asked the Colonial Secretary to use his influence with the Common wealth Government in favour of granting the encashment of war gratuity bonds for Australian ex-soldiers now domiciled in Britain.
Mr. E. L. Wood, Under-Secretary for the Colonies, recommended LieutenantColonel Nail to consider tho provisions of the Commonwealth War Gratuities Act and mako further representations afterwards.
