J RESULTS AT MOUNT ALBERT. - i ■ THE 4TH WEEK'S PRODUCTION 1 The fourth week of the Auckland Poultrykeepera' Association's fourth single pen and team egg-laying competition at Mount Albert I concluded last Monday. Although a number > of birds are moulting there was an increase • in tho number of estsrs laid in all sections. ' Many of tho teani3, which are on the young [ side, especially in tho light breeds, have i , started to lay. Many competitors were too anxious to secure & good atart, and I therefore sent birds that had been laying j for some time, with the result tbit tne ! change forced them into a moult. Light breeds and ducks are upset more easily than the heavy breeds if in full lay. _ The duck section shows _ tho crreatest improvement in egg production.
