WAIHI GOLDMINING CO.

EXTENSION OF OPERATIONS. A. ar»d N.Z. LONDON. Ma v 9. At the annual meeting of the Waihi Goldmining Company it. was resolved to modify bile articles of association to cnrtblo the company to mine for any substance in any part of the world.

'Che sum of £50,000 was setj aside some three or four years ago hy the Waihi Goldmining Company for the purpose of investigating other mining properties and, if thought, advisable, developing them. Since then a number of properties in New Zealand and elsewhere have hcen inHpected by the company's representatives, but so far no suitable mining proposition has been discovered. The authority now given at the annual meeting of shareholders to modify the. articles of association is probably designed to give the directors wider powers, and enable them to act promptly should any property of a suitable description be brought under their notice, cither within the Dominion or outside.
