THE NATIONAL PARK.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDED-] TAUMARUNUI. Wednesday. The Tourist Department has appointed Mr. Cowley, Mount Cook guide, to take charge temporarily of the Tongariro National Park in place of Mr. W. Mead, the present caretaker, who has resigned owing to ill-health. Mr. Cowley took over his duties this week.
