BOTH PROPOSALS CARRIED. A poll of, ratepayers in the Kaukapakapa riding of the Waitemata County to borrow sums totalling £4600 was held "yesterday. There were two separate proposals, both of -which were carried. In the £3600 loan, which is to be used for rebuilding three bridges, metalling roads, and culvert building, the' voting was as follows:—For the 'proposal, 89 votes; against the proposal, 41. The voting on the proposal to borrow £1000 for building a bridge and providing equipment at Dawson's Quarry was as follows:—For the proposal, 95; against the proposal, 32.
