ALLEGATION OP BAG-SNATCHING.

QUESTION OF IDENTIFICATION. An allegation of bag-snatching was made against Joseph Boy Anderson, aged 25 (Mr. Dickson), who was charged with theft of a bag and contents valued at £9 from the person of a woman. Complainant alleged that on April 15 accused followed her down Hobson Street and snatched her purse. He ran away, but 12 days later she saw him working for a firm and accused him of the theft. He denied it, and she called the police. The case depended on the identification of the accused. Haying heard the case for the prosecution, the Court adjourned until this morning.
