TO-DAY'S FORECAST.
GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last night, as follows : —Present indications are for strong squally west to south-west winds, and cold, changeable, showery weather, particularly in western and southern districts. The barometer is unsteady with a rising tendency.
MR. C. L. WRAGGE'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was supplied to us by Mr. Clement L. Wragge at 7.30 p.m. yesterday:—Th© Antarctic disturbance Eoanus is south from the Chatham Islands, and its western isobars .rule all the South Island, especially Southland, while the- new high-pressure system is overlapping the North Island. Thus squally and showery weather is still likely south from the Auckland province, but conditions should steadily improve with decrease of latitude toward the North Cape. Winds from between west-south-west and south-south-west, later veering toward south-south-east. Seas moderating. YESTERDAY'S WEATHER. v ßainfall in City for 24 hours ended midnight.
