BOY SCOUT MOVEMENT.
HEADQUARTERS RELATIONS.
The Auckland Provincial Executive of the Dominion Boy Scouts' Association met last evening. The provincial commissioner, Mr. H. Stebbing, presided.
The Hon. G. Fowlds, member of the Dominion executive, attended, and reported the result of a recent conference with Dominion headquarters, Christchurch, regarding the matter of regulating the administration of the Boy Scout movement in Auckland in relation to headquarters. He stated that as the result of representations he had made on behalf of the Auckland Association, there was every reason to hope that in future the most sa.tisfac.tory relations would exist with Dominion headquarters. Messrs. Fowlds and R. C. Grigsby were appointed Auckland delegates to the annual Boy Scouts' conference, to be held at Christchurch on May 30 and 31. The work of the Young Citizens' League in relation to the Boy Scout movement was discussed, and the following motion by Mr. H. P. Caughey was carried unanimously :—" That the executive convey to the Young Citizens' League, and particularly to the president, Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M.. its deep appreciation of the support which the league has accorded to the Boy Scout movement, it having spared no effort to make the movement a success throughout the Dominion, and to thank the league most heartily for having made it possible for the services of Mr. Horace Stebbing to be given to the movement as provincial commissioner for Auckland for the last 12 months." It was resolved that Mr. Grigsby, at present deputy commissioner, bo recommended to the Dominion executivo as successor to Mr. Stebbing. who will retain his seat as a member of the Executivo Committee
