COMMUNIST SCHOOLS.
MINISTER'S CHARGE DENIED.
TEXT-BOOK NOT KNOWN. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Ma., 8. The secretary of the Trades and Labour Council. Mr. Garden, denies the charges of the Minister for Justice, Mr. T. L. Ley, against the teachings of the Communist Sunday Schools. lie states that the text-hook the Minister quoted is not known to Communist Sunday Schools in Now South Wales, and there is no catechism either in thft schools or in the textbooks concerning the hoy scouts, the Union Jack, or God.
.Mi. Ley, replying to Mr. Garden, says the latter denies that Communist teaching is imparted, but will he refuse to endorse the sentiments to which he made reference? If Communist children are taught to believe in God and to be loyal to the Empire, why should they not attend Sunday schools belonging to the respective denominations?
