Sir,-—As an admirer of tbe Boy Scout! movement, I should like respectfully to ask Mr. .Cjitten what authority ho has for the sweeping statement attributed to aim in the report of the address delivered by him as president of the Young Citizens League to the General Synod ptj Wednesday" last, viz.: "The Bey Sopot movement had been organised and organise nnlil instead of being a movement, it had become an organisation vvith so many regulations to follow, that there Tvas n s* time left- in which to do tlio real the movement started out to do. Is tins correct? Mr. St ebbing, the o.rgf.vtiisjng secretary of the is also, 1 brieve, commissioner for Boy Scouts in jand. Does he endorse this statement., J am not alone in ni y desire to get a difiM answer to this question, as I hfave bwn spoken to by many business men an.d others in the city who are also interested in th© scouts, and wtio have bo>cn j gered by the statement.
