PASTORAL APPOINTMENTS.

PRESBYTERIAN CHANGES.

The induction of the Rev. T. Halliday, of Foxton, to the charge of St. Peter's (Presbyterian) Church, Great North Road, will take place on Thursday, June 8. At this meeting of the Auckland Presbytery last evening, it was decided that the Rev. G. Paterson should preside at the induction, the Rev. A. McDonald should preach, and the Rev. C. E. Porter address the minister. The resignation of the Rev. W. Butterworth from the charge of the Helensville Church was accepted by the Pre3byt*ry, the pastoral tie to be dissolved as from next Sunday. The Rev. W. McDonald was appointed moderator of the vacant charge. Mr. Butterworth is to take up .pastoral work at Whakatane, and the Revs. D. Hird, of Opotiki, and D. C. Herron were appointed to carry out the induction on Tuesday, May 23.. Mr. Herron will represent the Auckland Presbytery.
