Ho viewed famous temples round KyOo, then boated down the Hozugaws River, shooting frequent boiling rapid.' in the eight miles' journey to Saga through a deep gorge. The people gathered along the banks, which in som( places aro high and precipitous, while rocks filling from far and near gave i continuous reception. , In the evening tie Prince dined witl the Mayor of Kyoto and witnessed ; picturesque cherry dance by some of tin daintiest singers in Japan.
