COST OF TOMBSTONE.
A-dispute regarding the cost of » tomb-, stone and work done in connection with it came before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M , in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. W. • Parkinson and Company (Mr s Sellar), , monumental masons, sought -.to recover - SSSToSaum (Mr. Dromgool) £30 10a in respect of a monument supplied and work done at a grave. Defendant con- . ;.- tended that the contract price ,; ,» was £2 K 10*. plus the cost of inscription, and claimed that reinforcement was to be used with the concrete. It was alleged ; that there was a, crack in the concrete. . Expert evidence was given to the effect that the work was "satisfactory-and that: reinforcement was ; always used in such cases as the present one. Judgment was given for the plaintiffs for the amount" claimed, with costs £9 6s 6d. - .
