NAVUA PUTS BACK.
STARBOARD PROPELLER LOST, ■ ARRIVAL IN PORT. Tho twin-screw Island steamer Navua reported by wireless yesterday that she had lost her starboard propeller and was putting back to Auckland. She left Auckland shortly before mid-day on Monday with 72 passengers and a quantity of cargo foi Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga. Very stormy weather was experienced after clearing the coast, and the gale toyed the vessel t return under one propeller. She arrived at 8 45 last evening, and will berth at, the Queen's Wharf at 8 o'clock this momhij to land her passengers, and will afterward; go into dock to have another • propellei fitted. The Union Company expects that repairs will be completed in time for th< vessel to resume her voyage tomorrow.
