— ♦ The final gala in connection with the Otahuhu Queen Carnival wae held in th» Otahubu Schoolground on Saturday. Th* sports programme was interesting and Mm close finishes reflected credit on the hand'* capping of Mr. J. Twin&me. The outetand ing feature of the eporto w*a the perform ' ance of L. Williamson,. in the jumping i events. The stalls aud side-shows were well patronised, and the carnival funds will benefit to the extent of about £120.
