POROSED DAIRY POOL.
SUPPORT FOR SCHEME.

SundarA conference of dairy company delegates to discuss tbe proposed formation cf a compulsory pool to deal with dasry produce, was held yesterday. The following factories were represented :— New Zealand Dairy Company, Tauranga, Eatikati, Springdale, Noriolf, Sunny Park, Kaitieke, Kaglan, Aria, Piopio, Hauraki Plains, Bangitaiki Plains, Cambridge, Bruntwood, Oparau and Marakopui.
Mr. A. Morton, chairman of the National Dairy Association, Mr. Brash, secretary, and Mr. W. Goodfellow, outlined the scheme, details of which have been announced already. In reply to questions, it was pointed cut that tbe scheme could not become compulsory unless the majority of the dairy companies approved of it. It was desired to make the pool apply to next season's output. A resolution was carried approving 01 the proposal, and Messrs.' McMillan. Wells, A. H. Sogers, Ambury, Ferguson, Motion and Stanton were appointed delegates to the conference to be held in Wellington on May 18.
