Amending regulations relating to tho in- • spechon and fumigating of fruit at tho Cook Islands aro published in this week's Gazette. The inspector may require any ' fruit that in his opinion is unfit for export, 1 by reason of the same being infected, immature, over-mature, undergrade, or otherwise not suitable to be with- ! held from shipment, repacked, or ' destroyed as he may deem neces--1 sary. The importation into any island of the Cook Group of second-hand fruit cases, copra sacks, or other receptacles for , carrying fruit is prohibited.
