THEATRE EMPLOYEES.
1 SETTLEMENT OF DISFDTE. A complete settlement wag reached in the dispute of the Auckland front of the ; house theatre employees, which was heard '[by a conciliation council yesterday. Mr. I P. Hallv presided, and the assessors for ' I the employers were Messrs. R. T. i Michaels. C. Edsarea, and S. E. Wright, 1 and for the employees, Messrs. T. Green- ' ' \ halgh, J. Watson, and J. Purtell. The ' ! ; minimum wages for caretakers in the prin--1 cipal theatres are to be £3 a week, with 1 : a 13s bonus. In continuous shows the 1; hours for ticket-sellers shall not exceed 32 per week, and for ticket-takers and ushers 36 per week. The minimum 1 weeklv wage for females in these positions 1 shall be 30s, and for males £2 ss. Adult f males are to receive a weekly bonus of 13s; 1 vouths, 6s: females over 21 years, 4s 6d; , r , females under 21, 4s. In r.icht shows the I hours of work for ticket-sellers shall be 2J, I and for other workers from 6.45 to the fall P! of the curtain.
