NO POLITICAL PARTY. MAINTAINING REPUBLIC. LO2TDON. .April 13. The Irish position is perfectly clear to Roderick O'Connor, General Commandant of the I.R.A. executive and the leading spirit of the armed extremists, who disavows de Valera's conference vrith Mr. Michael Collins, now arranged for Good Friday. , Mr. O'Connor declares: "The army does not follow any political party. We regard the republic as existing, and are prepared to maintain it." Mr. O'Connor accupies sandbagged headquarters, guarded by armed sentries. In an interview with a representative of the Evening News, Mr. O'Connor said: "The LR.A'a cocstitution binds tie army to submit the results of the ColHns-de Valera conference to the [.E»A. conation. The army will not elimb down."
